& Female Capital: Executive Search en Female & Inclusive Leadership

& Female Capital is an executive search agency that deliberately places exclusively women in order to contribute to more diversity at the top of organizations in the Netherlands. We also advise organizations on Female & Inclusive leadership.

We have long believed in diversity at the top. Our company was founded eight years ago, so long before the introduction of the Diversity Act on January 1, 2022, which obliges the top 5,000 to report on their diversity. The Diversity Act aims to make the ratio between men and women at the top and sub-top of the business community more balanced and obliges companies with more than 250 employees or more than 40 million euros in turnover (large companies) to report their diversity at the top to the SER. It concerns the existing male-female ratio, the targets for next year and the action plan to achieve them. The SER makes this data for all companies public once a year.

Diversity is the key to success!

Especially given the numerical distribution of almost 50/50 between men and women and the fact that women are now better and more highly educated than men, you would think that in a modern country such as the Netherlands, with regard to quite a number of dimensions, half of all executives would be women. Unfortunately, that is not (yet) the case. While diversity is the key to success. Various studies (including McKinsey 2021; Diversity Wins) show that supervisory boards, boards of directors and management teams that consist of half women and half men perform better than management teams that consist almost exclusively of women or exclusively of men. Gender-balanced management teams not only deliver higher returns on equity and a higher market capitalization, but these profits are also achieved in a more sustainable and socially responsible manner, with fewer risks and better (international) cooperation.

There are several reasons why the percentage of women at the top in the Netherlands is significantly behind. One of the reasons for this is that the recruitment and selection strategy and approach of agencies and organizations (often unintentionally and unconsciously) does not take sufficient account of the motives and motivations of women.

Both the longlist and the shortlist of candidates therefore consist exclusively of women. & Female Capital provides intensive guidance to its candidates throughout the entire process.

We also support organizations in how to transform into a diverse and inclusive organization, such as analyzing the current situation in terms of management potential and the actions to be taken to achieve a more diverse relationship.

& Female Capital signed the Executive Search Code of Talent to the Top years ago. Read the interview with & Female Capital by Talent naar de Top here.

  • Female talent

"Top female talent is present in sufficient numbers, but needs to be approached, selected and guided in a different way."

  • Mixed leadership

"More than half of the CEOs and Managing Directors indicate that they would like to be able to connect more female talent to their organization in order to have 'mixed leadership'."

  • Responsible functions

"Until now, despite all the recurring discussions, it is often not possible to appoint talented women to positions with final responsibility."

  • Distinctive and effective

"That is why & Female Capital has developed a unique method that distinguishes itself from regular executive search firms with a different and distinctive style and more effective approach, more accessible and valued by women."

  • Executive Search Code Talent to the Top

"& Female Capital has signed the so-called 'Executive Search Code Talent to the Top'. As an executive search firm that only mediates female candidates, we naturally support efforts to include more women in the nomination processes for executive positions."
